Rustic wood accents mixed with classic beadboard cabinetry in the kitchen will take you back to the old family farm, but with a modern and functional twist. We added a cozy fireplace to the main floor to warm up the space with a shiplap style surround. A large open plan loft space works double duty as a play space and a guest bedroom. We remodeled the master bathroom and utilized a portion of a closet to add a main floor laundry space that keeps this family organized and gives them a clean space to do all of those never-ending loads of laundry. We took a story and a half and added a double dormer to create the "kid level" with a brand new bathroom. We fitted the exterior with pre-finished siding and modern farm style metal roofs. The total investment for this whole home remodel was $180k, and it took around a year to complete the construction in every area of this cozy farmhouse.
